What is the $TART Bonus Program?
The $TART program awards education bonuses to individuals working in prioritized early care and education settings and programs* for the successful completion of targeted levels of training through the Training Program in Child Development (TPCD) and/or the acquisition of a CDA Credential and/or degrees in early childhood education. It also awards retention bonuses to teachers** who hold an associate’s degree or higher and continue their employment in a publicly funded program. Click here for the $TART Flyer.
* School Readiness (SDE), DSS or Head Start Programs that serve 3 and 4year olds.
**Teacher refers to an individual who has primary responsibility for a group of children.

* If an individual reaches Level 6 as a result of a CDA (only) and receives the $500 bonus, they are entitled to an additional $250 if they reach Level 7 and acquire the 12 ECE credits.
You may only apply once for THIS scholarship lottery. If you have applied for previous lotteries, you must also apply for this one.
- If you ARE NOT A MEMBER of the Charts-A-Course Registry, a Registry account will be set up for you as part of the award process, if you are awarded, so there is no need to also set one up at this time.
